Melbourne Renegades star signing Cameron Boyce will make his return to the indoor cricket court this weekend alongside twin brother Chris.
Born in Charleville in regional Queensland, the Boyce brothers will line up together for the Caboolture Snakes in the South-East Queensland division of the Beastwear National Indoor Cricket League (NICL) this Saturday evening.
Cameron’s sporting talent was identified early, playing regularly in indoor and outdoor competitions throughout his junior years, leading him to become the quality legspinner he now is on the first-class cricket scene.
Boyce made his debut for the Queensland Bulls in March 2010, followed by successful KFC Big Bash League stints with the Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. His consistent performances with the Hurricanes led to a call-up to Australia’s T20 squad to play Pakistan in the UAE in 2014.
More recently, in one of the early season signings, Boyce has joined the Melbourne Renegades, hoping to make an impact with the ball in red this season.
Boyce joins many currently contracted State, BBL and WBBL players competing in the NICL this season including; Clive Rose, Clint Hinchcliffe, Josh Philippe, Teneale Peschel, Tegan McPharlin, Chloe Rafferty, Meagan Dixon and Carly Leeson.
The Caboolture Snakes are coming off two wins and will play Salisbury Eagles who sit one spot ahead of them on the South-East Queensland NICL ladder.
